Before the Lok Sabha elections, the issue of paper leak has become hot in the country. Congress party is continuously raising this issue. On Tuesday, former Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, ‘Paper leak has become a curse not only for Uttar Pradesh but for the youth of the entire country. In the last seven years alone, more than 70 paper leak cases have shattered the dreams of more than two crore students. This is not only wasting precious years of future building, but is also putting a financial and mental burden on their families.

Recently, many cases of paper leak were reported in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi had strongly raised the issue of paper leak in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. More than 48 lakh candidates had participated in the recruitment for more than 60,000 police constables in Uttar Pradesh. Due to paper leak, Uttar Pradesh government had to cancel this examination.

Taking major action in the UP Police Recruitment Exam leak case, the Yogi government has removed UP Police Recruitment Board Chairperson Renuka Mishra. In his place, Rajvi Krishna has now got the responsibility of the Recruitment Board. The written examination for constable recruitment was held on 17 and 18 February in all 75 districts of UP. The paper of this exam was leaked.

Rahul Gandhi wrote, there is a need to end the criminal nexus of careless government, corrupt officials, copying mafia and private printing presses and ensure accountability at every level. As Rahul, when I talked to students, they told me that there are three main reasons for paper leak. The sold out government machinery, private printing presses and the Subordinate Services Selection Commission have become a den of corruption. By combining the suggestions received from everyone, Congress is preparing a concrete and foolproof plan to make the recruitment process of youth transparent, and very soon we will present our vision before you. Rahul Gandhi wrote, we will not allow the future of students to be played with.

Along with this, there were allegations of paper leak in the recruitment examination of Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer i.e. RO and ARO conducted by UP Public Service Commission. The UP government had canceled the examination in this matter. The controller of examinations was removed. UP Public Service Commission has lodged an FIR with the police in the paper leak case. CM Yogi Adityanath himself had written on Twitter, ‘Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has ordered to cancel the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 held on 11 February 2024 and to conduct it again in the next 06 months. Those who play with the sanctity of the examination will not be spared under any circumstances. The culprits of the youth will be given such punishment which will set an example.
